MEDS is creating early learning children’s books in Sorani Kurdish that are rooted in the local culture to encourage a life-long love of wholesome books.
Early Learning Bookset
The goal for this project is to ignite a desire for reading and learning at the preschool age through early learning books. These will focus on core topics: the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes and everyday items in Sorani Kurdish with familiar scenes and objects. The pictures will carry stories as well as focusing on particular learning goals. This will be done in collaboration with local stakeholders.
